About the Role

Description:

The Director of External Relations gains real-world experience in management, leadership, problem-solving and relationship management. By fostering relationships with firms in pursuit of sponsorship, mentors and speakers, they will contribute to the overall strategy of York Community Consulting through insight and resources. You will lead the team to ensure it is smooth running, completing all tasks to a high standard and overall improving the professional reputation of York Community Consulting

The role is a fantastic opportunity to represent YCC to learn about a variety of industries by building relationships with firms and sponsors. Additionally, as a head of department, you will be able to exercise leadership and team management skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop the long term strategy and ensure the team is organised
  • Measure, track and review all processes
  • Find new and willing firms and companies who want to work with YCC closely Host collaborative events - i.e. workshops, webinars, etc
  • Secure potential sources of funding
  • Host student events on campus to promote YCC
  • Work with local firms to promote Consulting and related industries
  • Find professionals to become Project Mentors
  • Build relationships with Alumni and keep them updated
Length of Role: 50 Weeks
